Sergio Chagoya D.

Sergio is the leader of the firm's transactional and financial practice area. With more than 27 years of professional experience, Sergio advises national and international companies on corporate and regulatory matters, project and infrastructure financing, privatizations, mergers and acquisitions, banking, securities, and derivatives transactions, as well as Fintech and cryptoasset regulation.

It represents issuers, investors, financial intermediaries, promoters, as well as government entities in bank financing and securitization operations, including private equity, venture capital and public offerings, as well as in the design and implementation of public tenders and public-private partnerships.

Sergio also provides advice on draft laws, decrees and regulations in the areas of his professional practice.

He is a Lawyer (graduated with honors) from the Escuela Libre de Derecho from Mexico City; he obtained a Master's degree in European Union Law from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, in Spain, and a PhD in Law (graduated with honors) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, in Spain.

He has participated in various conferences and events such as the LatinFinance Mexican Financial Summit; the LatinFinance Infrastructure and Sub-Sovereign Finance Summit and the National Infrastructure Forum of the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives (IMEF).
