The 40-hour work week: implementation and consequences

Continuing with the analysis of new labor provisions in force this 2026, in this new episode of Legal Evolution we talk with Juan Carlos Machorro, partner of the firm, and Gonzalo de la Rosa, associate in labor matters, about the progressive reduction of the working day towards 40 hours per week by 2030 and the way in which it seeks to equalize Mexican labor provisions with other countries in the region and the member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the implications of this progressive reduction and the proposed labor regulation as a whole for the following years.
