Americas Restructuring Review 2023 | Mexico: The Pandemic Aftermath

Mexico continues to face unprecedented times and historic challenges since the current administration took power in December 2018. Although the pandemic seems to have receded and the recovery has begun, the outlook remains challenging for companies that coexist with policies undertaken under a leftist agenda that has done next to nothing when it comes to supporting business.

On the contrary, several sectors in which private investors play an essential role appear to be under constant scrutiny and scrutiny. The spate of insolvency proceedings anticipated two years ago seems to be clinging to a gradual and slow recovery, though new cases continue to emerge. While the contest procedures are still functional, they have not made a response as expected.
