Biography
With more than 5 years of professional experience, Marcela specializes in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, as well as privacy and personal data protection.

Marcela has participated in the implementation of sophisticated commercial transactions, including international and domestic joint ventures, stock and asset deals, as well as corporate restructuring and reorganization. Marcela’s most recent work includes, among others, (i) advising Shimtech Industries (UK) on all aspects related to its investment in Sonora, including the negotiation of the fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to be granted by the Government of Sonora, and a long-term lease agreement with Propiedades Nelson de Mexicali to establish its facilities, (ii) advising Grupo Industrial Monclova on its strategic alliance with Manttra Americas Corp, and (iii) advising various clients regarding compliance with privacy and data protection matters in Mexico in the event of potential data breaches and in connection with their routine compliance review.

She obtained her law degree from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Mexico.
