This year, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Paola Morales as a new partner of Santamarina + Steta, a position she will assume as of January 1, 2023.
In this new position, Paola will continue to strengthen the practice areas in which she specializes and will enhance the Firm's innovation, technology and diversity initiatives.
Paola has 23 years of professional experience specializing in the practice areas of TMT (telecommunications, media and technology), e-commerce and privacy and data protection.
He has advised multiple international clients in the implementation of their businesses in Mexico, as well as national companies and the government. He has also carried out analyses to implement, from a transactional and regulatory point of view, various investments in these sectors.
With respect to e-commerce, he advises a number of national and international clients in the structuring and implementation of their platforms and websites for their e-commerce operations in Mexico, which involves the review, negotiation and preparation of the applicable terms and conditions.
In the area of privacy and data protection, she has dedicated herself to supporting multiple clients with the implementation of the applicable legal framework in their organizations, which includes the analysis, review, preparation and modification of Privacy Notices, Privacy Policies, preparation of intercompany and supplier contracts to comply with the regulations on the matter; as well as Privacy Policies applicable to entities belonging to the same corporate group (including affiliates located abroad) and training on personal data for all types of companies.
Throughout her professional career, Paola has distinguished herself for her role as a mentor for the Firm's associates and interns. We are confident that as a partner she will strengthen the prestige that we have achieved as a Firm over more than seven decades and we wish her the greatest success in this new professional stage.
