Fintech

Our fintech practice area has advised several clients in the development of disruptive products and services at the intersection of technology, financial services and regulation, even long before the Mexican Fintech Law was enacted. Moreover, several members of our firm actively participated in the development of said law in collaboration with Mexican legislators.

We have assisted and represented clients before Mexican financial authorities to obtain the required government authorizations to operate as crowdfunding institutions or digital wallet service providers (the only fintech business models recognized under the Mexican Fintech Law).

Our team has also advised several companies in the sector to determine whether their business model is regulated in Mexico under the Mexican Fintech Law or under other financial regulations.
