Suspension of IMMEX Programs due to failure to submit the annual report corresponding to the fiscal year 2025

On June 30, 2026, the Notice was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation publishing the names of the holders and numbers of Manufacturing, Maquiladora and Export Services Industry Programs suspended for failure to submit the annual report corresponding to the fiscal year 2025, in accordance with article 25, second and third paragraphs, section I, of the Decree for the Promotion of the Manufacturing, Maquiladora and Export Services Industry.

The suspension has the practical effect that the companies included in the Notice cannot make use of the benefits associated with the IMMEX Program until they submit the annual report of total sales and exports corresponding to the fiscal year 2025.

The most relevant points of the Notice include the following:

(i) Companies included in the Notice must submit the annual report no later than the last business day of August 2026.

(ii) The Ministry of Economy will lift the suspension within two (2) business days following compliance.

(iii) If the annual report is not submitted within this period, the Program will be definitively cancelled as of September 1, 2026.

(iv) Companies should check if they are included in the list.

In light of the above, we recommend that companies with an IMMEX Program immediately check if they were included in the Notice, verify the status of the submission of the Annual Report of Foreign Trade Operations corresponding to 2025 and, if applicable, regularize their situation before the last business day of August 2026, in order to avoid the definitive cancellation of the Program.
